What Makes a Great Body Transformation Fitness Program?

blaineopening1 resized 600A Body Transformation fitness program is any program that’s designed to help participants make significant changes to the shape  and size of their bodies.  Most programs are comprised of several of the following components:

  • Aerobic Exercise
  • Strength Training
  • Nutritional Guidance
  • Periodic Fitness Evaluations
  • Before and After Photos
  • Teams and/or Individual Coaching
  • Contest with Cash Prizes

The specific workouts, environments and nutritional philosophies may vary significantly from one program to another, but the core concept of one program bringing all of the pieces together in one place to help people transform their bodies is the same from one program to the next.

A good program will offer exciting, energizing and effective classes.  Participants should be motivated to put forth their best effort and should finish class exhausted, but smiling.

A good program will offer sound, common sense nutritional guidance that’s intended to be a life-time change in eating habits rather than promoting temporary diets that may be dangerous or unsustainable or both.

A good program will provide benchmark evaluations to help participants document and measure their progress.

A good program will motivate participants through both personal engagement and encouragement as well as through rewards for the participants with the best results.

A great program is one that helps its participants consistently get good results.

I have seen the results but how do you keep it off, is this a program where you get fast results then when you stop it comes back?

Nicole - No, because of the focus on building lean muscle in addition to fat-loss, students who do not continue in the program are able to maintain their results through a lighter activity load. Of course, if you return to all of your old habits you would eventually return to your old body too.

Cyndy, Jay and Katie -- The price of the 10 week course varies from city to city because the costs of operating a location varies too.

Generally, you will spend more than you would at a typical self-service health club and much less than you would to work with a personal trainer.

If you visit the location page for your nearest location (find a location in left menu) you will find a contact email for that location. They'll gladly email you all of their current pricing info.

How often do you need to go to FIT? Is it 6 days/week?

The only location in Indiana is over 2 hours from my house. I'm interested in a program like this; I need the direction and motivation. Driving 2 hours one way is not an option. Is there one coming to Indianapolis?
